Warning from Health Officials: Avoid Consuming Shruumz

Diamond Shruumz Recall: 39 Reported Illnesses Linked to CBD Mushroom Blend Products in the US

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is urging consumers to avoid purchasing, eating, selling or serving a range of products that claim to contain a special blend of mushrooms. These products have been recalled by Diamond Shruumz, the company behind chocolate bars, cones, and gummies.

Indiana health officials are currently investigating severe acute illnesses that may be linked to consuming Diamond Shruumz brand products. As of June 24th, 2024, there have been a total of 39 reported illnesses from 20 states, with 23 hospitalizations and three confirmed cases in Indiana. Fortunately, no deaths have been reported.

Those who fell ill after consuming these products reported experiencing a range of severe symptoms such as seizures, loss of consciousness, confusion, sleepiness, agitation, abnormal heart rates, changes in blood pressure, nausea and vomiting.

Diamond Shruumz brand products can be purchased online or at various retail locations across the country including gas stations smoke/vape shops or stores that sell hemp-derived CBD products.

If you become ill after consuming these products seek medical attention immediately and also call the Indiana Poison Center at 1-800-222-1222 to report your symptoms and seek further information. Callers should inform Poison Control that they have recently consumed Diamond Shruumz brand chocolate bars cones or gummies.
