Dallas Wings Outlast Chicago Sky in Intense Battle for Season Opener Victory

In the season opener, the Dallas Wings defeated the Chicago Sky with a final score of 87-79. Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings with 25 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter. Teaira McCowan and Natasha Howard both contributed double-doubles to secure the victory for Dallas. Howard finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while McCowan had 18 points and 13 rebounds.

With a close score of 75-73 in favor of the Sky, the Wings went on a 14-0 run in the final minutes of the game to secure the win. Ogunbowale’s deep 3-pointer gave Dallas a 12-point lead with just 31 seconds left in the game. Marina Mabrey led the Sky with 19 points and nine rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to hold off the Wings.
