Comcast Business Announces Partnership with Starlink for Enhanced Connectivity Services for Enterprise Customers

Comcast Business Launches Partnership with SpaceX to Enhance Enterprise Connectivity through Starlink Technology

Comcast Business has recently announced a partnership with SpaceX to introduce Starlink connectivity to its enterprise customers, as revealed on June 21. This collaboration will integrate Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology into Comcast Business’ managed connectivity portfolio, providing enhanced network redundancy and connectivity for enterprises operating in remote locations. The portfolio already includes broadband, ethernet, and cellular business tools for enterprise customers.

The exact details of how this service will be implemented and its availability were not disclosed in the news release. Jon Friedman, senior vice president of Product Strategy and Operations at Comcast Business, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that Starlink’s LEO satellite technology will complement their existing network infrastructure, extending their reach and improving their ability to deliver reliable connectivity solutions to enterprise customers.

SpaceX executive Jason Fritch, vice president of Starlink Enterprise Sales, emphasized the significance of this partnership, highlighting Starlink’s growing role as a critical element in modern enterprise networks. While Verizon signed a similar deal with Amazon’s Project Kuiper in 2021, there have been limited updates on the progress of that collaboration.
