Coca-Cola Recalls Cherry Flavored Drink Batch Due to Bisphenol A Contamination: What You Need to Know

Coca-Cola is recalling a batch of its cherry-flavored drink “Cherry” due to an issue with the composition of the resin can. The interior lining of the can, which was imported by the distributor B&M, contains Bisphenol A, a component that has been banned in France since 2012 for use in packaging products that come into contact with food.

The affected cans bear the barcode 5449000195364 and belong to lot No. 08/02/2025 L09B. These 33 cl cans were sold throughout France without any specific dates for marketing or withdrawal from sale.

Consumers who purchased the affected batch are advised not to consume the drink and to return it to the point of sale for a refund. The recall process can be completed until August 27 through Rappel Conso.

In a similar incident in November, Croatian authorities ordered a recall of Coca-Cola products due to cases of poisoning reported in several cities. This action was taken to protect public health and temporarily banned the distribution of the products in question.
