Cavaliers’ All-Star Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen to be absent for Game 4 against Celtics in NBA playoffs.

Cleveland Cavaliers Face Tough Challenge in Game 4 with Injuries to Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen

The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing a tough challenge in Game 4 against the Boston Celtics as star All-Star Donovan Mitchell will be sidelined with a calf strain. The Cavs will also be missing starting center Jarrett Allen, who has been out since the first round of the playoffs due to a rib injury.

In their announcement of the starting lineup for Game 4, the Cavs will be relying on Darius Garland, Caris LeVert, Max Strus, Isaac Okoro, and Evan Mobley. Mitchell’s absence will leave a big hole in the team’s offense and defense as he was previously listed as questionable.

Throughout the 10 playoff games this season, Mitchell has been an integral part of Cleveland’s success. He has been averaging 29.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 47.6% from the floor and 35.4% from 3-point range. His performances against the Celtics in previous games have been crucial for the Cavs and his absence will be felt deeply by his teammates and fans alike.

The absence of another All-Star player like Jarrett Allen also poses a challenge for Cleveland as he is known for his post presence and averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game in the regular season. With both players out of action, it remains uncertain when Mitchell will be able to return to the series further complicating things for Cleveland.

Despite these challenges, the Cavs remain determined to even up the series with Boston currently leading them
