Children Suffer the Most in Russia’s Ukraine Conflict: A Heart-Wrenching Look at the Devastating Impact of War on Innocent Lives

Since the beginning of Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine, at least 526 children have been killed and 1,218 injured. On February 9, 2024, the city of Kharkov suffered a devastating Russian attack that claimed the lives of seven people, including three children: a six-month-old baby and two children aged four and seven.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Donetsk, Kharkov, Kherson, and Kiev are among the regions that have been most affected by this conflict. However, children have suffered the most across all regions.
