Ryan Poles deems Keenan Allen as “a flawless match”

Chicago Bears Acquire Proven Wide Receiver Keenan Allen to Boost Offense

In a major move, the Chicago Bears traded for receiver Keenan Allen earlier this month to strengthen their offense for the upcoming season. The team’s general manager, Ryan Poles, explained at the annual league meeting on Monday that they had been keeping an eye on Allen as a potential cap casualty. When the opportunity arose and Allen became available, the Bears seized it without hesitation.

Poles was impressed with Allen’s recent performances on tape and was surprised by his high level of play despite his age. Even though he played just 13 games last season, Allen achieved a career-high with 108 catches, 1,243 yards (the second most in his career), and seven touchdowns. Poles believes that adding Allen will greatly benefit the team as they move forward with their young quarterback.

Poles emphasized that Allen is the perfect fit for the team due to his understanding of the NFL, timing, space, and ability to read defenses. With DJ Moore already on board as well as tight ends Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett and running back D’Andre Swift, Poles sees a balanced field with a lot of potential for dynamic and special plays in the upcoming season.
