Charity Fundraiser: United Way’s Night at the Races” – Community, Events, Philanthropy

The United Way of Mifflin-Juniata is hosting a Night at the Races event on January 27, 2024, at the Moose Family Center. Colette Hartzler, the executive director of the organization, recommends wearing a stylish hat to the races, with the fancier the better. She and her assistant attended a similar event last year and found it to be a lot of fun.

The event includes a Kentucky Derby hat contest, Just Ducky elimination game, live auction race, and 50/50 raffle. Video horse racing recreates the racetrack atmosphere. Tickets cost $40 per person or $75 per table and include a horse, food, and one drink, with a cash bar available. Hartzler hopes to see a good turnout for the fundraiser and is looking forward to the event.

For more information about the event, people can contact the United Way of Mifflin-Juniata at (717) 248-9636 or visit www.mjunitedway.org. They can also find them on Facebook for updates and details about the event.
