Chicago Race Sets the Stage for NBC Sports NASCAR Power Rankings

Chaos at Nashville Superspeedway Does Not Deter Domination in NBC Sports NASCAR Power Rankings

Last weekend at Nashville Superspeedway, chaos ensued as the race saw several incidents and crashes. However, the NBC Sports NASCAR Power Rankings did not see significant changes. Christopher Bell continues to dominate the rankings as he maintains his position as No. 1. Meanwhile, Chris Buescher enters the rankings after achieving another top-five result.

Despite crashing while leading the race, Christopher Bell remains a force to be reckoned with in the series. He has won stages in four of the last six races and accumulated 24 playoff points. Moreover, he led 28.9% of the laps run in those six races. Kyle Larson is hot on his heels, with six top 10s in his last eight starts, including two wins and a runner-up finish.

Tyler Reddick finished third at Nashville after being unable to pass Joey Logano for the win. Despite this setback, he has achieved five top 10s in the last six races and is still a contender for victory down the stretch of the season. Chase Elliott has been consistent this year, finishing outside of the top 20 only once so far – an eighth place finish at Texas Motor Speedway back in April. He finished 18th at Nashville despite multiple incidents that slowed him down.

Denny Hamlin was close to winning twice in overtime but had to pit for fuel and ended up finishing 12th instead of taking home a trophy or points towards title contention. Ryan Blaney is currently leading Denny Hamlin by just two points in their tight championship battle and finished sixth at Nashville while Chris Buescher moved up one spot from ninth to eighth after finishing fifth at Nashville Superspeedway.

The series will now head to Chicago for its next race on Sunday at 4:30 p.m ET on NBC Sports Network.
