Dean Dunnagan from the College of Health Sciences to be Recognized on April 10th

Celebrating a Decade of Growth and Expansion: A Recognition Reception for Tim Dunnagan, Outgoing Dean of the College of Health Sciences

In honor of his 14 years of service as dean, the College of Health Sciences is hosting a recognition reception for Tim Dunnagan. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 10 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Stueckle Sky Center’s Bronco Zone. During his tenure as the fifth dean of the college, significant growth and expansion have been achieved under Dunnagan’s leadership.

Under Dunnagan’s leadership, the college has nearly doubled in size and launched three doctoral programs. Various programs have also been created and expanded, including online offerings, a genetic counseling path, and multiple certificates designed for working professionals. Additionally, an advisory group comprised of current and retired CEOs and leaders in the healthcare industry was established to provide feedback and guidance on course development and major selection.

Following his departure as dean, Dunnagan will take on the role of special assistant to Provost John Buckwalter, focusing on new academic programming in health sciences. Joelle Powers, who has been the college’s senior associate dean for several years, has been appointed as Dunnagan’s successor. She will be the first female dean of the College of Health Sciences.
