Capcom Surprises Fans with Resident Evil Announcement: Director Koshi Nakanishi Leads Upcoming Release

In recent news, Capcom has announced that a new installment of the popular video game series Resident Evil is in the works. The only detail that has been revealed so far is that the director of the game will be Koshi Nakanishi, who previously worked on Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. This announcement was made during the Capcom Next: Summer 2024 event, where the company also shared updates on other upcoming releases like Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

The gaming community eagerly awaits more details about this highly anticipated release. The news of a new Resident Evil game came as a surprise to fans, as no information about the game, not even its title, has been disclosed. Nakanishi mentioned that it was challenging to follow up after the success of the previous game, but he now has something substantial in store for players.

In addition to the Resident Evil announcement, Capcom also revealed details about the digital version of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. The game, developed using the RE Engine, will be released on September 19, with the physical version coming later. Players will once again assume the role of Frank West, a photojournalist fighting hordes of zombies in a shopping center. The remaster boasts enhanced graphics and three-dimensional audio for an improved gameplay experience.

Another exciting reveal from Capcom was the trailer for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, an action-strategy game inspired by Japanese mythology. The game focuses on a warrior named Son, who is tasked with protecting a priestess named Yoshiro. A demo of the game is available for players to try out on various platforms, with the full release scheduled for July 19. Fans of action-adventure and strategy games can look forward to exploring
