The Milwaukee Bucks, currently ranked second in the Eastern Conference with a 46-27 record, will face off against the Atlanta Hawks, who are 10th in the conference with a 34-39 record, on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. EDT. The Hawks are coming off an overtime victory against the Boston Celtics, where Dejounte Murray scored an impressive 44 points to lead his team to victory.
Despite having a losing record in Eastern Conference games thus far (20-26), the Hawks have been performing well statistically. They allow an average of just 120.5 points per game to opponents and have a scoring differential of -1.3 points per game. On the other hand, the Bucks have been dominating in Eastern Conference play with a record of 31-14 and rank fourth in rebounds per game with an average of 44.2 points, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s impressive performance of averaging 11.5 rebounds per game.
Both teams have been shooting efficiently this season, with the Hawks shooting at a rate of 46.6% from the field (slightly lower than their opponents’ allowed percentage of 46.9%) and the Bucks shooting at a rate of 49% from the field (just .4% lower than their opponents’ percentage when playing against the Hawks). This will be their third meeting this season and it’ll be interesting to see if they can break their pattern or if it continues as is with Hawks winning their last encounter with a score of 127-110.
