Brussels Airlines anticipates over 1.2 million passengers in July and August

Brussels Airlines Set to Transport Over 1.2 Million Travelers this Summer: From Party Flights to Island Destinations and Beyond

Brussels Airlines is set to transport over 1.2 million travelers during the busy summer months of July and August, the airline announced in a press release on Monday. One of the highlights of the summer will be the ‘party flights’ bringing more than 20,000 party goers to Belgium, featuring a new ‘Amare’ aircraft for the Tomorrowland festival.

Within Europe, Brussels Airlines has noted that island destinations are particularly popular this summer, with full flights to Zakynthos, Corfu, and Rhodes in Greece, as well as Gran Canaria, Mallorca, and Lanzarote in Spain. City trips to destinations like Gothenburg and Stockholm in Sweden, known for their milder climates, are also in demand.

Outside of Europe, many Belgians are opting for holidays in the United States, with direct flights to New York and Washington DC. Collaborations with travel organizations have also led to full flights to destinations like Hurghada in Egypt and Antalya in Turkey.

To handle the increased demand for summer travel, Brussels Airlines has hired over 180 additional cabin crew and 64 extra pilots. The airport teams will also be reinforced with 40 new check-in staff during the summer season. In addition, 70 student workers will be assisting the ground staff to ensure a smooth travel experience for all passengers.
