Traditional Parking Method Reinstated at AmFam Field Until New Technology Issues Are Addressed

Brewers’ Home Opener Marked by Parking Pass Glitches and Apologies from President of Business Operations

The Brewers’ home opener on Tuesday was marked by the debut of their new license plate recognition technology. However, some fans faced issues while trying to activate their parking pass due to a server problem. As a result, they had to be scanned in manually at the game. Rick Schlesinger, the Brewers President of Business Operations, addressed the situation during the game by assuring fans that they would not be cited for parking that night. He also apologized for any inconvenience caused and mentioned that if the system continued to have issues, they would revert back to the previous year’s method of scanning fans.

Interstate Parking, the vendor responsible for the technology, released a statement explaining that the connectivity issues were due to a configuration problem with their app and not because of any fault on the part of the Brewers or MLB Ballpark App. They are currently working on correcting the issue as quickly as possible so that fans can use the new technology smoothly. In the meantime, starting from tomorrow’s game, fans will revert to traditional parking methods where cashiers will scan prepaid passes and accept day-of-game payments upon arrival. This is just a temporary solution until Interstate Parking resolves their technical difficulties completely.

Schlesinger emphasized again that no parking violations were issued during Tuesday’s game and apologized once again for any inconvenience caused by Interstate Parking’s technical difficulties. Fans who had trouble activating their parking pass are encouraged to contact Interstate Parking directly with questions or concerns about their experience at Miller Park during Tuesday night’s home opener.
