Breaking News: Business Evacuated, Route 100 Closed Due to Suspicious Package Report in Lehigh County

On Monday, a report of a suspicious package led to the evacuation of a business in Lehigh County and the closure of a stretch of Route 100. The location of the suspicious package was at Ryder Logistics, which has been evacuated as a precaution.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky, the report was made at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, at the 8600 block of Congdonhill Drive in Lower Macungie Township. In response to this report, local roads, including Route 100 at Spring Creek Road, were shut down to prevent access to the area.

The Allentown Bomb Squad was called to assist with the investigation by state police. Captain John Christopher from the Allentown Fire Department confirmed that the bomb squad arrived just before 2 p.m. on Monday.
