Bob’s Stores, a discount clothing and shoe retailer, is closing all its locations and liquidating all inventory as part of a Chapter 11 restructuring petition filed on June 18. The going-out-of-business sales started on Friday with discounts of 30-70% off on workwear, footwear, team wear, everyday clothing, store fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
Despite efforts to make changes to the company’s structure and operations, Bob’s Stores was unable to secure the necessary finances to continue operations. The liquidation event for all 21 Bob’s Stores locations throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island will be managed by Hilco Merchant Resources and Gordon Brothers.
