Biceps Injury Ends Rodney McLeod’s Season on Sunday

The Browns season has taken a hit as safety Rodney McLeod has suffered a biceps injury in Sunday’s win over the Steelers. Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed on Monday that McLeod will need to undergo surgery to repair the injury, resulting in his absence for the rest of the season.

In five of the team’s 10 games this season, McLeod had started and recorded 29 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one pass defensed. With McLeod out, Ronnie Hickman and D’Anthony Bell joined starter Grant Delpit as the other safeties on Sunday.

The Browns defense is also facing another challenge as Juan Thornhill was inactive with a calf injury. Thornhill has started all eight games he’s played this season. This loss will certainly impact the Browns’ defense as they look to finish the season strong.
