Last week, a sporting goods store in Benton Township, Michigan was the site of an armed robbery that left one person kidnapped and several pistols stolen. The incident took place at Dunham’s Sports store located at 1000 E. Napier Avenue on Friday.
During their investigation, law enforcement discovered that the manager of Dunham’s was kidnapped at gunpoint and held hostage by two suspects. One of the suspects entered the closed store and stole a large number of pistols while the manager was being held. After the robbery, the manager was released and promptly contacted the police. The suspects were tracked and taken into custody, and all but one of the stolen pistols were recovered.
On Tuesday, a joint news conference will be held at 12 p.m. EST to provide more details about the investigation. The conference is expected to shed light on what happened during the robbery and how law enforcement was able to track down and apprehend the suspects. It is also expected that new information will be released regarding any charges that may have been filed against those involved in the incident.
