Basketball Meets Wrestling: The Unlikely Clash of the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers in SmackDown

In a surprising turn of events, the 2024 Eastern Conference semifinals between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers made their way into the world of professional wrestling during Friday Night’s SmackDown at Madison Square Garden. Wrestler Logan Paul made a grand entrance with Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton for his Money in the Bank qualifying match against LA Knight and Santos Escobar.

As Haliburton made his way to the ring with Paul, he caught sight of Knicks guard Jalen Brunson in the audience. Feeling a sense of rivalry between the two teams, Haliburton stepped forward to confront Brunson. Despite being unintimidated, Brunson stood his ground and engaged in a tense stare-down with Haliburton before they were separated by WWE officials.

Throughout the match, Haliburton retrieved Paul’s brass knuckles, causing Brunson to take action. The two exchanged words before being separated by WWE officials once again. However, as they were forced out of the ring, “MVP!” chants erupted from the Madison Square Garden crowd in honor of Brunson.

In an unexpected turn of events, Haliburton eventually joined forces with Paul to continue their match against Knight and Escobar. But things took another twist when Brunson slid in with a steel chair and confronted Haliburton once again. This led to Knight and Brunson forcing both Haliburton and Paul out of the ring to great applause from the crowd.

Afterwards, Brunson shared his experience on social media, confirming that his previously injured hand felt just fine after getting involved in some intense action during Friday Night’s SmackDown at Madison Square Garden.
