Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan is set to make an official visit to Hungary on May 6. During his visit, Minister Mirzoyan will have the opportunity to meet with top Hungarian officials, including Foreign Minister Peter Szijártó. The two men will hold a joint press conference following their discussions to share their thoughts on the outcomes and any agreements reached.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this visit takes place at a crucial moment for both countries as they work together to strengthen their bilateral relations and tackle important issues. The discussions between Minister Mirzoyan and his Hungarian counterparts are likely to cover topics such as cooperation on international issues, trade relations, and future collaboration opportunities.
Earlier reports from “Azatutyun” suggested that Hungary had been blocking a project aimed at providing aid to Armenia through the European Union Peace Fund. This issue may also be addressed during the meetings between Minister Mirzoyan and his Hungarian counterparts.
It is worth noting that Armenia and Hungary announced plans to restore diplomatic relations in 2022, indicating a growing interest in expanding cooperation between the two countries. This visit by Minister Mirzoyan serves as an opportunity for both countries to further strengthen ties and engage in dialogue on shared priorities.
