Apple is rumored to be launching the iPhone 16 in September, with a new battery and an upgraded Siri feature among the software upgrades. According to the company, Apple Intelligence, its artificial intelligence technology, will be a central focus of the release. While initial reports suggest that Apple Intelligence will be free, there may be subscription options for enhanced capabilities.
Industry insiders have hinted at changes to the iPhone 16’s battery. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the battery in the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have increased energy density, potentially leading to a longer battery life or a smaller battery size. This adjustment may be accompanied by a stainless-steel battery case, which could help address potential temperature concerns and also enable Apple to comply with upcoming European Union regulations requiring smartphones to have replaceable batteries by 2027. The stainless-steel case could increase battery cell density while meeting safety standards, achieving multiple objectives simultaneously.
