Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the battery in the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have increased energy density, potentially leading to a longer battery life or a smaller battery size. This adjustment may be accompanied by a stainless-steel battery case, which could help address potential temperature concerns and also enable Apple to comply with upcoming European Union regulations requiring smartphones to have replaceable batteries by 2027. The stainless-steel case could increase battery cell density while meeting safety standards, achieving multiple objectives simultaneously.
