Anna Paquin made her red carpet return after over a year to promote her latest film, “A Bit of Light,” directed by her husband and “True Blood” co-star Stephen Moyer. Despite facing challenges with an undisclosed health issue for the past two years, which resulted in mobility and speech difficulties, Paquin remained hopeful for a full recovery. She used a cane to help walk during the event.

In “A Bit of Light,” Paquin portrays a struggling mother who moves in with her father after losing custody of her children to her ex-husband and his partner. The film also stars Ray Winstone, Youssef Kerkour, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Luca Hogan. Expressing her passion for independent filmmaking, Paquin noted that it was her first love in the industry. She praised her husband’s directing skills, describing him as her favorite person to work with.

Paquin’s dedication to her work is evident with her commitment to telling stories with integrity and realism. The specifics of her condition have not been made public, but she remains optimistic about making a full recovery from it. “A Bit of Light” is set to hit theaters on April 5th, distributed by Quiver.
