Continent, a horror-drama directed by Davi Pretto, is set to have its world premiere at the Munich International Film Festival. The film is a co-production between Brazil, France, and Argentina and is written by Pretto himself.
The trailer for the movie has been released in advance of its premiere, giving viewers a glimpse into the mysterious events that unfold in the isolated village of Amanda’s father. Amanda returns to her village as her father is dying, but as she uncovers a secret held by the villagers, she becomes entangled in an inheritance that threatens to harm her.
Tensions rise as Amanda is warned to leave the village, but she refuses to leave despite the danger. Continent is Pretto’s third feature film and his fourth, Future Future, is already completed and in post-production. The movie stars Olivia Torres, Ana Flavia Cavalcanti, Corentin Fila, and Breno De Filipo. It was shot in Brazil and is in Portuguese and French languages. Vulcana Cinema serves as the main producer of Continent with Dublin Films, Murillo Cine, and Pasto as co-production partners. Sales are handled by Lights On.
