Airbus DS Government Solutions Welcomes New VP of Business Development and Production Innovation Chris Tsirlis.

Chris Tsirlis, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with over thirty years of experience in the field of information technology, has been appointed as the vice president of business development and product innovation at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense’s government solutions division. In this new role, he will be collaborating with a team of experts to push forward the development of satellite communications and networking systems that support mission-critical workloads for customers.

Tsirlis made the announcement about his appointment on Sunday through a LinkedIn post, where he shared his excitement about joining Airbus DS Government Solutions and contributing to its efforts in creating advanced satcom technologies. Before joining Airbus, Tsirlis worked at Microsoft as a technical product manager and solutions architect, where his work focused on edge platforms for space/5G and hybrid cloud networks.

Throughout his career, Tsirlis has held various senior information technology leadership roles in the Marine Corps, including director of IT, commanding officer of Marine Wing Communications Squadron 28, and IT operations officer for III Marine Expeditionary Unit G-6. His experience in these roles has given him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by organizations working in complex environments and developing critical infrastructure systems. With his expertise in these areas, Tsirlis is well-positioned to lead the development of innovative satcom technologies that meet the needs of Airbus’s government solutions division clients.
