Governor Mark Gordon is hosting a Town Hall meeting in Casper on February 13th to address the issue of mental health care. The meeting is open to the public and will take place from 1:30 to 3 pm at Casper College Wheeler Music Hall.
The purpose of the Town Hall is to hear from local communities about ongoing efforts to increase awareness of available resources and improve access to mental health care. Representatives from the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, as well as local elected officials, are encouraged to attend.
Governor Gordon has made improving access to mental health resources a priority, and recently announced the launch of an initiative to address Wyoming’s ongoing mental health crisis. The Governor’s “Mental Health Roadmap” outlines steps to advance systemic behavioral health reform in Wyoming, and will be discussed during the Town Hall.
The Town Hall aims to foster community engagement and gather input from Casper residents. It provides an opportunity for residents to directly share their thoughts and experiences with the Governor and other officials. The goal is to identify priorities and challenges in order to improve mental health outcomes.
