14,000 Jobs and Counting: Rhode Island’s Quonset Business Park Thrives with Investments in Job Creation and Economic Growth

Rhode Island has seen tremendous growth in job creation at Quonset Business Park, surpassing 14,000 jobs just 15 months ago. Governor Dan McKee praised the park as a key player in economic activity and job growth in the state. Strategic investments made by the Quonset Development Corporation have attracted new companies and fostered job creation for residents of Rhode Island.

The Port of Davisville has played a major role in this growth, with upgrades and expansions helping to sustain 1,600 existing jobs. Plans are also underway to invest in further expansions and upgrades at the port, as well as the installation of cable for a wind farm. This project is expected to generate hundreds of jobs in both Rhode Island and Connecticut.

House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi commended the leadership at Quonset Business Park for reaching such an impressive milestone of 14,000 jobs. The House continues to support investments in the Port of Davisville to create even more jobs while also helping Rhode Island achieve its climate goals. Senate President Dominick Ruggerio also expressed his support for the park’s continued growth and success, solidifying its reputation as one of the top Business Parks in the nation.
